The tape on the bow was used to hold a bow light in place so the Crew could row at night.
John McCann, one of the Crews biggest supporters, gets a big laugh from the team by jokingly pointing out a missed spot on the paint job. John (Orphy) wore many hats for the RTBFA Crew, he was the go-to mechanic who guided the Crew to restart our van when it broke down (he communicated instructions over the phone), he helped secure our boats for the journey down to Boca Raton, and he provided much needed humor when he called to check in with the guys. Thank you John!
